What it's for: Used for maximum distance off the tee. Fastest discs; they need more arm speed.
Best for: Players with some experience and decent arm speed. A newer player is usually better off starting with a more forgiving disc.
How it flies: Straight-flying distance driver: drifts slightly right, then a clean finish left. (for a right-handed backhand throw; mirror it for lefties and forehands)
